Panel Saw Operator

Panel Saw Operator We are seeking a skilled Panel Saw Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating a panel saw to accurately cut MDF and other wood-based materials according to production orders, drawings, and specifications. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, detail-oriented, and committed to producing quality work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Essential Responsibilities Set up and operate a panel saw to cut MDF panels and other wood-based materials. Review work orders, cut lists, blueprints, and job specifications. Measure and verify material dimensions using tape measures and other precision measuring tools. Perform quality inspections to ensure products meet dimensional and quality standards. Label, organize, and stage materials for the next production process. Complete production paperwork and material tracking accurately. Monitor material usage and report shortages, damaged materials, or quality concerns. Perform routine machine setup, blade changes, and basic preventative maintenance. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow all safety procedures and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE). Assist with material handling using carts, forklifts, or other material handling equipment. Support other production departments and perform additional duties as assigned. Work overtime as needed to meet production demands. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous manufacturing, woodworking, or production experience preferred. Experience operating a panel saw, table saw, beam saw, or similar cutting equipment. Ability to accurately read a tape measure and perform precise measurements. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings. Basic math and computer skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines. Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment is a plus. ERP/WMS experience is preferred but not required. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for 810 hours per shift. Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds. Ability to safely handle large wood panels and finished products. Ability to bend, reach, twist, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift. Ability to work overtime as needed.
