- Inspects and repairs vehicles with engines
- Handles routine repairs, including oil and tire changes
- Writes detailed inspection reports and repair plans
- Collaborates with other mechanics
- Completes test drives to make sure the vehicle runs correctly
- Uses power, machine, and hand tools safely
- Follows all motor vehicle repair shop regulations and standards
- 1-3 experience working on light-duty trucks
- Ability to use diagnostic tools, reading service manuals, wiring diagrams, etc.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, sensors and basic computer-controlled systems
- Comfortable lifting 50-75 lbs.
- Standing, bending and working in tight spaces for long periods
