Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) | Hackensack, New Jersey

A skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist is needed to provide advanced imaging services within a dynamic healthcare setting. This contract position focuses on both Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT studies, serving a diverse patient population in a collaborative clinical environment. The role involves a range of essential imaging procedures, contributing to exceptional diagnostic outcomes.


Schedule:

• 5 shifts per week, 8 hours each
• Typical shifts: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM (or as operationally needed)
• Weekend, holiday, and on-call coverage as required
• Flexibility to float between Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT assignments

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in Nuclear Medicine preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Graduate of an approved School of Nuclear Medicine Technology
• Valid NJDEP license
• Registered by ARRT or NMTCB
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Experience with CT fusion desirable

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform and document high-quality Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT imaging procedures
• Ensure accurate patient identification, preparation, and care throughout exams
• Adhere to safe radiation practices and all safety protocols
• Participate in on-call rotations and provide floating coverage as needed
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and staff for optimal patient care
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge and competency in new imaging technologies
