\nShift Hours: The Part-time Medical Director position is a part-time working 5 to 10 hours during Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Up to 3 hours per week can be remote. \n
\n
\nWhat you will be doing: \n
\n-Supervise 1 Psych NP\n
\n-Create, implement, and monitor adherence to policies related to psychiatric services such as medication prescribing, monitoring side effects, integration with medical services, specialized services and psychotherapy for those interested. \n
\n-Review and revise the psychiatric documentation in the clinic’s electronic medical record. \n
\n- Management/oversight of the implementation of buprenorphine/naloxone prescribing. \n
\n-In collaboration with clinic leadership, implementation and proper execution of telepsychiatry services for select patient encounters. \n
\n-Participation and leadership in regular clinic meetings, including high risk rounds, staff meetings, budget and operational meetings, and clinic leadership meetings. \n
\n-Serve as the clinic liaison to the city’s psychiatric hospitals (both acute and state) and CPEP/emergency rooms.   \n
\n-Participate in regular supervision and strategic planning sessions with the Chief Medical Officer. \n
\n-In collaboration with the Chief Medical Officer, design, build, implement and supervise psychiatric and psychiatric NP training programs. \n
\n-Serve as the clinical lead for the Incident Review Committee. \n
\n-At least 70% of their time per week is dedicated to direct patient care unless otherwise directed by senior leadership. \n
\n-Helps maintain a safe and clean environment, ensuring proper use and disposal of medical supplies/equipment as required, adheres to infection control protocols, and notifies their supervisor immediately of any potential safety hazard identified in the office/client-care environment.\n
\n-Any other duties as required by the senior clinical leadership. \n
