Medical AssistantEaston, MD Pay From: $21 per hourMUST:The Medical Assistant must have experience:High school graduate or equivalentCertificate of graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assistants preferredMinimum three years' experience as a medical assistantPhlebotomy experience preferredCurrent BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification requiredCertified Medical Assistant preferredDUTIES:Escorts patients to and from exam rooms, physician offices, and treatment room as appropriateRecords patient data prior to each physician visit, including but not limited to, vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication changesObtains all necessary patient records as required by physician prior to treatment or proceduresPrepares and stocks exam/treatment rooms and orders supplies as neededAssists physicians with exams and procedures as requestedDepending on practice-specific protocols, may be asked to obtainAdministers subcutaneous and intramuscular injections, as delegated by Registered Nurse or physicianMaintains all exam/treatment room disinfection protocolsResponds to patients' calls as requestedPerforms other administrative duties, i.e. typing, filing faxing reception, etc, as requested by supervisor or physicianAlerts nurse/physician of abnormal vitals, any important information given by patientCollection of inbound meaningful use dataFill out disability formsSchedule blood transfusions, therapeutic phlebotomies, ordering special tests (Oncotypes, Kras testing, EGFR (epidural growth factor receptor), Myraid, Paradigm, etc)May enter orders under a provider's direction and supervisionQuadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
