The healthcare professional specializing in the step-down unit in Nashville, Tennessee, will provide high-quality nursing care to patients with heart diagnoses on a 12-hour night shift schedule. The role involves working with a team responsible for patient populations ranging from young adults to late adults, utilizing specialized skills to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification, successful completion of a proctored rhythm test, valid licensing as a registered nurse, no minimum years of experience required
• Unit Description:
  • Unit Capacity: 23 Beds
  • Population Served: Patients with heart diagnoses, including sheaths and external pacemakers
  • Ages of Patients Served: Young Adult through Late Adult (18 - 60+)
  • Nurse to Patient Ratios: 4/5:1 based on patient acuity
  • Core Staffing Plan: Variable staffing grid including Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), Nurse Interns (NIs), with RNs assuming full responsibility for assigned patients
• Additional Information: The role involves delivering specialized cardiac care, working within a multidisciplinary team, and adhering to facility protocols to ensure patient safety and quality care.
