Collaborating closely with customers and internal teams, you will provide real-time problem-solving to customer challenges and to enhance our products. Your expertise is crucial in diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and debugging complex semiconductor equipment. Your swift action in responding to situations is critical in resolving issues and ensuring satisfaction of Lam’s valued customers.What you’ll doProvides technical support to field engineers, technicians, and product support personnel who are diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing and debugging complex electro/mechanical equipment, computer systems, complex software, or networked and/or wireless systems. Responds to situations where first-line product support has failed to isolate or fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software. Reports design, reliability and maintenance problems or bugs to design engineering/software engineering. May be involved in customer installation and training. Provides support to customer/users where the product is highly technical or sophisticated in nature.The GPS Engineer will support:2300 e4 Platform for 300mmCan take place at the factory or in the field depending on the need.Can include travel at short notice (24 hours).Includes working in customer wafer fabrication sites / environments as required to fulfil the support function.Creates and presents reports related to design, reliability, maintenance problems, SW bugs, projects and escalations to the relevant factory groups. Provides support to customer/users where the product is highly technical or sophisticated in nature.Responsible for customer betas including installation, qualification, milestones, technical requirements, training and certification of local teams / customer.Provides support to engineering and service products both at the factory and in the field.Able to represent Lam by creating material and expertly presenting technical findings to the customer.~40% Worldwide travel is a requirement of the position.Who we’re looking forMinimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 8 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 5 years experience; or equivalent experience.Basic Physical Requirements:Need to be able to lift and manipulate weights as outlined in EHS 41109.Need to be able to work in confined spaces.Need to be able to wear and function in full PPE. (Including respiratory equipment)Need to be able to work with chemicals.Need to be able to work 8-12 hour shifts. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role.
