Salary: $50,000-$80,000 USD annualy

Who We Are
At UE Systems, we believe that every person, regardless of their industry, company size, experience, and budget, should have the tools and support to help their facilities operate more efficiently, reliably, and safely. We do this by providing a portfolio of ultrasound solutions designed to be versatile and simple to use.

Since 1973, we’ve helped thousands of customers across the world prevent equipment failures, identify energy losses, and return home safe to their families, and we are just getting started. Join us as we continue to grow to support our mission in the relentless pursuit of customer excellence.

About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on Repair Technician to diagnose, repair, calibrate, and test UE Systems' precision ultrasonic instrumentation from our Elmsford service center. You will ensure each product meets our technical and quality standards before it is returned to the customer.

This role is ideal for an experienced technician who combines strong electronics troubleshooting with the judgment, organization, and communication needed to keep a repair operation moving. You will manage your own repair queue, coordinate priorities, surface constraints early, and work across Customer Service, Quality, Engineering, Shipping, and Supply Chain to resolve issues and meet turnaround expectations.

While this is a hands-on individual-contributor role, we are looking for someone who naturally supports others, improves how work is organized, documents repeatable processes, and helps the team operate consistently. The right person will be trusted to take on broader coordination and process ownership as the repair function evolves.

Our People

They Own Their Day: We do not micro-manage. Our team understands that some days may be longer while some may be shorter and that maintaining the right work-life balance is crucial in a non-traditional workday.

They Believe in a Team Approach: They can’t be a master of everything. We have built a team based on the culture fit, which provided us with a diverse team of varying skill sets and experience. They rely on their team to support them and grow as an individual and as a team.

They Always Look Through a Customer Lens: Every decision we make is through the lens of our customers. We ask, “What is the best decision for our customer?” before any decision is made. We put our existing customers before revenue.

Your Impact

• Perform troubleshooting, testing, calibration, and repair of UE Systems' precision ultrasonic instrumentation.
• Diagnose faults in analogue and digital printed circuit boards, electronic components, and electro-mechanical assemblies using schematics, technical documentation, and sound troubleshooting methods.
• Perform soldering, component replacement, mechanical assembly and disassembly, and verification testing using oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, power supplies, signal generators, and other service equipment.
• Own assigned repairs from intake through completion, prioritize work against customer needs and turnaround expectations, and flag technical, parts, or capacity constraints early.
• Create and maintain accurate repair records, calibration certificates, parts usage, test results, and service documentation, and help improve troubleshooting guides and repair procedures.
• Coordinate with Customer Service, Quality, Engineering, Shipping, and Supply Chain on repair status, technical escalations, warranty questions, parts availability, and recurring product issues.
• Help the repair team operate effectively by sharing knowledge, supporting the onboarding of others, maintaining an organized and safe service area, and identifying practical improvements to quality, workflow, and turnaround time.

Your Experience

• Technical diploma or vocational qualification in Electronics, Instrumentation, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience repairing, testing, calibrating, or servicing electronic or electro-mechanical equipment.
• Strong electronics troubleshooting skills, including the ability to interpret schematics, diagnose analogue and digital circuits, solder and replace components, and operate common electronic test equipment.
• Strong organization and follow-through, with the ability to prioritize competing repairs, maintain accurate records, meet commitments, and raise risks before they affect the customer.
• Clear, calm, and professional communicator who can explain technical issues, provide reliable status updates, work through disagreements, and build trust across teams.
• Demonstrated initiative and informal leadership, including supporting peers, coordinating work, improving a process, documenting standards, or helping resolve recurring problems without relying on formal authority.

Nice to Have

• Experience repairing or calibrating industrial instrumentation, electronics, ultrasonic equipment, or other precision electro-mechanical products.
• Experience in a repair depot, technical service center, manufacturing environment, or customer-facing service operation.
• Previous experience as a senior technician, team lead, shift lead, trainer, or informal mentor.
• Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025-style calibration documentation, traceability, quality records, nonconformance handling, or corrective action.
• Experience using CRM, ERP, inventory, or service-management systems such as HubSpot, Acumatica, or similar platforms.

Why Join Us?
We have the typical benefits you would expect, like dental, vision, and health insurance, paid time off, and retirement contributions, but your main interest should be to join a family as we are in the process of radically transforming our business in a way that will redefine our company and our place in the market, making this one of the most exciting times in UE Systems history. There is more opportunity than ever before for our people as we expand our business to become a world-class, purpose-driven, digitally-led ultrasound solution provider, and we need your help to achieve this.
