Labor and Delivery RN

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse in the Labor and Delivery unit provides comprehensive nursing care to antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and post-operative obstetric patients. This role involves managing high-risk and high-acuity maternal patients, functioning as a cesarean section circulator, and delivering post-anesthesia recovery care. The nurse will assess and monitor maternal and fetal status, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and support emergency obstetrical interventions in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. Responsibilities: Required Skills & Certifications:

Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
Minimum of 3 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience preferred.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

Cesarean section circulator experience.
Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) recovery experience.
Obstetric Emergency Department (OBED) experience.
STABLE certification.

Special Considerations:

Work in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment.
Support emergency obstetrical interventions and rapid response situations.
Weekend coverage up to 2 weekends per 6 weeks, holidays as needed.
No on-call requirements.

Scheduling:

Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
36 hours per week.
