Manufacturing Engineer / CNC Programmer Position: Manufacturing Engineer / CNC Programmer (Onsite – Buffalo, NY). Our team in Military Aircraft is looking for a candidate who will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Technical Lead and work on site in East Aurora, NY. Responsibilities Develop detailed operation sheets and CNC programs to produce high‑precision machined parts and sub‑assemblies. Define manufacturing sequences, tooling, gauging, and machine requirements to streamline production. Collaborate with engineering, quality, production, and vendors to resolve issues and enhance manufacturability. Assist with program prove‑outs and troubleshooting in the production environment. Recommend and implement process enhancements, tooling upgrades, and design modifications. Estimate costs and timelines for new proposals and tooling development. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with 3+ years of relevant professional experience, or Associate degree with 6+ years, or High School Diploma/GED with 8+ years of proven professional experience. 3+ years of CNC programming experience using CAD/CAM software. Strong knowledge of process engineering from raw material to finished product. Hands‑on experience with machine setup and operation. Excellent communication and documentation skills, working effectively across departments. Preferred Qualifications Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering. Background in the aerospace industry. Experience with machine automation integration. Skills in inspection of machined parts. Hands‑on experience machining stainless steel, titanium, and aluminum. Proficiency in CNC programming using Siemens NX. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles. Lean Six Sigma certification. Salary Range Buffalo, NY: $70,000.00–$115,000.00 annually. The base salary range represents the low and high end of Moog’s salary range for this position in the given work location.
