General Engineer Duties
As a GENERAL ENGINEER at the GS-0801-15 some of your typical work assignments may include:
- Assisting on the global integration of strategic communication systems, subsystems and elements dealing with project management offices and contractor facilities by furnishing authoritative guidance and assistance in the development and implementation of strategic connectivity programs, planning and projects.
- Leads technical efforts supporting the modernization of Senior Leader Communications capabilities.
- Providing rigorous analysis, candid assessments, and steadfast commitment to presenting advice to influence and advise acquisition tradeoff for fiscal flexibility, innovations, and reform strategies NC2 infrastructure for the strategic enterprise.
- Coordinates, participates and evaluates the results of technical assessments of nuclear command, control and communications systems and facilities specifically addressing connectivity integration, interoperability, performance adherence and cyber compliance to required technical specifications.
- Reviews and coordinates engineering performance and survivability criteria for the nuclear command and control architecture.
