Details Work in a cardiac catheterization lab performing diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral procedures Assist physicians with arteriograms, catheterizations, permanent pacemaker implantations, and thrombolytic therapy 4x10 hour AM shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM On-call requirements include one day per week, one weekend every 6 weeks, and one call-free week Requirements Minimum of 2 years experience in a cardiovascular invasive/cath lab setting Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA only) RCIS or ARRT(RT) certification required Texas MRT license required Active Texas license required as applicable to profession Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, physiology, and invasive cardiac/vascular instrumentation and techniques Flu vaccination required with no exemptions granted Additional Information Prepare and maintain sterile fields, circulate in procedure rooms, and collect procedural data Monitor patient ECG and vital signs during catheterization, notifying physicians of variances and providing emergency response as needed Perform pre- and post-procedure patient care, monitoring, and education Transport patients to and from the procedural area Document catheterization data including gradients, LV grams, cardiac outputs, and peripheral stenosis calculations Follow national and state radiation protection regulations for patients, self, and staff Maintain inventory and stock of procedure room supplies and equipment Scrubs provided Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel consideration Two professional references required American Traveler Job ID P-734380.
