Position requires a demonstrated ability to write ETL transformations, query data, and write infrastructure as code. Knowledge of relational databases as well as cloud based databases and T-SQL.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesParticipate in the entire data pipeline lifecycle, focusing on building data lakes, data warehouses and related processesPair with Sr team members on design and code reviews.Write clean code to develop data pipelines and necessary infrastructure as codeCollaborate with internal teams to understand requirements and effectively accomplish assigned tasks.Monitor and troubleshoot performance, scalability, and security issues, making improvements as neededParticipate in the evaluation of new technologies and tools that can improve performance of our systemGather technical and design requirements from internal and external stakeholdersCommunicate effectively with technical and non-technical team members to ensure alignment and successful execution of projects.Participate in cross-functional initiatives, promoting a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.Participate in an on-call rotationRecommended Experience & Education:Minimum Years of Experience-Typically requires a minimum of 3 years of related experience; or an advanced degreeEducation Level Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, math, data engineering oranother related field or equivalent work experienceKnowledge, Skills, & QualificationsRequired:Requires 5 years of related experience in cloud native data offerings and data lakes in a cloud environmentExperienced with relational databases (Postgres, SQL Server) and data modeling principlesIn-depth knowledge of the entire data engineering process (design, development, deployment)Awareness of release management processes and how data solutions are deployed via IaCSQL (SQL Server, Postgres) and PythonIdentify opportunities for process improvement as well as efficiency in solutionsTeamwork skills with a problem-solving attitude and willing to take a variety of approachesExcellent analytical and time management skillsGood written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated experience providing technical input to technical and non-technical stakeholdersProven ability to work cross-functionally with engineering and product teamsExposure to legacy data warehouse and ETL pipelinesFamiliar with data architecture and data modeling for data warehousing and analytical purposes.Ability to participate in on-call rotationPreferred:Experience with multi-tenant, B2B2C SaaS offeringsFinTech industry experiencePhysical Demands:Ability to lift a minimum of 5 pounds to a maximum of 10 pounds unassistedAbility to stand, sit, stoop, walk, stretch, reach, and use full range of body motionsManual dexterity as required for specific equipmentThe salary range for this position is: TBDCool Things to KnowNot Just Any Company: Alkami has an awesome diverse and inclusive environment.
