Core Duties Produce and update comprehensive 2D and 3D CAD models and technical drawings. Generate construction-ready documentation to streamline the vessel building process. Verify the accuracy and quality of models and drawings produced by junior staff. Analyze structural plans, electrical schematics, and system arrangements to guide design work. Maintain precise 3D models by integrating vendor data and design specifications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and clients, to ensure project success. Help maintain high standards by ensuring all designs align with client needs and production requirements. Identify and resolve model interferences to prevent costly construction delays. Support the team in meeting critical project milestones and delivery schedules. Provide guidance and training to junior team members to foster professional growth. Engage in design evaluations and provide ongoing support for production operations. Required Qualifications Completion of a High School Diploma or GED. An Associate Degree or higher in Engineering Technology, Drafting, or a related field is preferred. At least one year of hands-on 3D modeling experience. Between one and ten years of professional experience in marine, shipyard, or industrial construction design. Strong verbal and written communication abilities. Ability to thrive within a fast-paced, collaborative team setting. Competency in using Microsoft Office software. Proven track record of working effectively with multidisciplinary design and production groups.
