Role Description:

\n

The Assistant General Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Duncan, Oklahoma, supporting the General Manager in leading all aspects of store operations to deliver exceptional customer experience and drive store performance.

\n

This role includes overseeing daily operational functions, supervising team members, executing merchandising plans, and ensuring compliance with store policies and procedures.

\n

The Assistant General Manager also plays a key role in mentoring staff, resolving customer concerns, and stepping into leadership in the General Manager’s absence.

\n

\n

Qualifications:

\n

Experience in retail or customer-facing environments, with strong customer service and problem-solving skills.

\n

Background in supervising or leading teams, including coaching, scheduling, and performance management.

\n

Ability to manage store operations such as inventory control, merchandising, and cash handling with attention to detail.

\n

Solid organizational and time-management skills, with the capacity to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

\n

Effective verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with diverse team members and customers.

\n

Comfort with basic computer systems and point-of-sale (POS) software; willingness to learn new tools and processes.

\n

Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

\n

Prior experience in hardware, home improvement, or similar retail environments is preferred but not required.

\n

\n

High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in business,

\n

retail management, or a related field is a plus.
