The General Manager of McCormick Place is responsible for the overall operational leadership, strategic direction, and successful execution of events at the largest convention center in North America. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer of the Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority (MPEA), the General Manager oversees core event operational functions including Event Operations, Event Management, Guest Services, and Technology Services. This role ensures seamless coordination and delivery of conventions, trade shows, corporate events, and large‑scale gatherings across the McCormick Place campus. The General Manager works closely with the CEO and collaborates with the Chief Operating Officer, Chief of Security, Sales Leadership, and other shared service functions across MPEA to deliver exceptional customer service, world‑class event execution, strong labor partnerships, and measurable economic impact for Chicago.
