Freelance Floral Designer

We're building a community of creative freelance designers who love flowers and want to express their artistry while maintaining their primary careers and life commitments. Position Overview Are you passionate about floral design but need work that fits around your existing schedule? We're seeking talented freelance floral designers who want a creative outlet that works with their lifestyle—whether you're a teacher, healthcare professional, parent, student, or simply someone who loves flowers and wants flexible creative work. This opportunity is perfect for designers who want to stay connected to their craft without the commitment of traditional employment. You'll work when it suits you, creating beautiful arrangements and contributing to special moments in our clients' lives. What You'll Create - Beautiful Floral Arrangements Design stunning bouquets, centerpieces, and arrangements for retail customers and special events. Whether it's a simple grocery store pickup or an elaborate wedding centerpiece, you'll bring your creative vision to life with quality flowers and professional guidance. Event Magic When you're available and interested, join our team for on-site installations—transforming venues for weddings, corporate events, and celebrations. There's something magical about seeing a space come together and knowing you helped create that joy. Your Creative Expression While we'll provide guidance and specifications, we value your artistic input and creative ideas. This is your chance to stay sharp with your skills, try new techniques, and work with beautiful materials. How It Works - Flexible Collaboration We'll reach out when opportunities arise that might interest you—sometimes with a few days' heads up, sometimes for next week, occasionally for something happening today. You simply let us know if you're available and interested. No pressure, no obligations. Work Around Your Life Maybe you're free Tuesday afternoons, or weekends work better, or you can only help during school breaks. We'll learn your preferences and reach out accordingly. Your primary commitments come first—this should enhance your life, not complicate it. Seasonal Opportunities Some of our busiest and most exciting times are Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, wedding season, and holidays. If these align with when you want extra creative work (and income), perfect. If not, no worries—there are opportunities year-round. What We're Looking For - Your Design Background You have experience creating floral arrangements—whether from formal training, previous professional work, or serious personal practice. You understand flower care, design principles, and can work efficiently with fresh materials. Your Creative Spirit You love working with flowers and find the design process energizing rather than stressful. You take pride in your work and enjoy the satisfaction of creating something beautiful. Your Practical Side You have reliable transportation, can lift modest amounts, and are comfortable working both independently and as part of a team when needed. You communicate well and can follow instructions while bringing your own creative touch. Your Availability Preferences We'd love to know what works for you: What days/times generally work with your schedule? Are you interested in occasional event installations? Do you prefer advance planning or are you open to spontaneous opportunities? What seasons or holidays might you be most available? What We Provide - Creative Fulfillment Work with premium flowers and materials while creating arrangements that bring joy to customers' important moments. Stay connected to your craft and continue developing your skills. Fair Compensation Competitive hourly rates that reflect your experience and the quality of your work. Payment is straightforward and timely. Professional Environment Access to a well-equipped design studio with quality tools and materials.
