Robotics and Automation Technician

Automation Technician – MGS Germantown / MGS Richfield This is a 12‑hour Day or Night Shift opportunity. Responsibilities Know and follow all Company safety rules, safe work practices, and standard operating procedures. Serve as a role model for safe work practices and professional behavior. Learn and master all quality system requirements. Follow Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Documentation Practices. Perform robotic programming, troubleshooting, and repair. Support automated machinery production runs by resolving technical issues. Provide training on assembly machines and robot set‑ups. Maintain up‑to‑date work instructions. Order parts and materials as needed. Troubleshoot assembly equipment and other machinery including pad printers, sonic welders, heat stakers, and hot stampers. Identify unsafe equipment and ensure safe operation prior to line start‑up. Set up robots, EOAT, conveyors, degators, secondary equipment, etc. Build fixtures, guarding, etc., as needed. Document robotic application development and maintenance; create backups to robot programs and parameters. Perform any other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; two‑year technical college or four‑year university program preferred. Minimum 2 years of related experience. Fork truck and lock‑out tag‑out certification. Familiarity with conventional manufacturing equipment such as milling machines, lathes, saws, and hand tools. Demonstrated ability with 6‑axis and SCARA type robots (e.g., Fanuc). Toolmaker or machine builder experience is a plus. EEO Statement MGS Mfg.
