Position Summary

The Grill Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality burgers, chicken, and other menu items according to MOOYAH standards. This position ensures food is cooked safely, accurately, and efficiently while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.

Essential Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook burgers, chicken, and other menu items according to established recipes and cooking standards.
• Operate grills, fryers, and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Monitor food temperatures and cooking times to ensure food safety and quality.
• Prepare ingredients and maintain appropriate food levels throughout the shift.
• Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and cleanliness procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized grill and kitchen area.
• Assemble orders accurately and ensure food meets presentation and quality standards.
• Work efficiently during high-volume periods while maintaining accuracy.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house team members.
• Follow opening, closing, cleaning, and restocking procedures.
• Properly store food and supplies and follow FIFO (first-in, first-out) practices.
• Report equipment, food-quality, or safety concerns to the manager.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or kitchen experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and food-safety procedures.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and food quality.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move supplies as needed.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
