Painter Journeyman

If you are a Journeyman Painter skilled in painting different types of surfaces using a variety of tools and techniques this is your chance to advance your career! As a Commercial Painter you will apply coats of paint, varnish, stain, enamel, or lacquer to decorate and protect interior or exterior surfaces, trimmings, and fixtures of buildings, and other structures. Responsibilities: Filling nail holes, cracks, and joints with putty plaster Smoothing surfaces, using sandpaper, brushes, or steel wool Removing old paint from surfaces using paint remover, scraper, wire brush, or blowtorch to prepare surfaces for painting Painting surfaces using brushes, spray gun, or paint rollers Simulating wood grain, marble, brick, tile or other special effects with cloth, brush, or sponge Erecting scaffolding or setting up ladders safely to perform tasks above ground level Drywall repair Qualifications Commercial painting experience (Journeyman skill level) Strong working knowledge of job site safety as well as ability to complete a company specific safety orientation High standard of integrity and professionalism Drug free at all times Safety conscientious as safety is our #1 core value Tools of the Trade Benefits Vacation Pay Health insurance Dental and vision plan Life insurance Short-term disability 401(k) profit‑sharing savings plan Incentive programs Tool purchase programs #J-18808-Ljbffr Tradesmen International
