Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist - $2,434 per week

Job Summary TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 13‑week assignment in Rockford, Illinois. The role requires 36 hours per week with 12‑hour night shifts. Key Details Specialty: Registered Respiratory Therapist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 36 per week (12‑hour nights) Employment Type: Travel Location: Rockford, IL Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in various clinical areas, including evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines. Administer a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation. Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment; evaluate equipment for proper function and report malfunctions. Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples in accordance with procedure guidelines. Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other hospital personnel to optimize continuity of care. Respond to emergent situations requiring respiratory support. Physical and Patient Care Requirements Must be able to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty. Must lift 20 lb comfortably and handle patient transfers requiring up to 50 lb. Must meet vision requirements including close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment. Qualifications Minimum of 1 year of recent acute care experience. NBRC‑RRT certification. BLS. ACLS. PALS and NRP may be required. Additional certifications (e.g., NRP, PALS) may be required before assignment.
