Job Description

The Assembler position performs semi-repetitive assembly and adjustment tasks using a variety of hand and simple power tools. This role focuses on assembling, inspecting, and packaging wood-based products by following blueprints, drawings, and work instructions while maintaining quality, safety, and productivity standards in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform assembly and adjustment tasks of a semi-repetitive nature using hand tools and simple power tools.
• Follow blueprints, drawings, manuals, procedure manuals, and assembly materials to complete work accurately.
• Inspect assembled components and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Package finished products according to work instructions and production requirements.
• Stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks while meeting production targets.

Essential Skills

• Experience in manufacturing or general production environment preferred.
• Ability to stand for 8 or more hours per day and perform repetitive work.
• Comfortable working with a variety of hand tools and power tools.

Work Environment

This role is based in a wood manufacturing environment. The work involves standing for extended periods, performing repetitive assembly and production tasks, and using hand tools and power tools on a regular basis. Employees work around wood products and related manufacturing equipment in a production setting that emphasizes safety, quality, and efficiency.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Teutopolis, IL.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
