Title: Dental Hygienist
Location: Columbia, South Carolina
Schedule: Monday – Friday
- Monday – Thursday: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
- Friday: 7:30 AM – 12:30 PM
- No weekends
- 39 hours per week
Position Overview:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a Dental Hygienist to provide preventive dental care, patient education, radiographic services, and support dental treatment planning in a clinical setting. This role involves working closely with patients, dental providers, and students while maintaining high standards of patient care and documentation.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform routine dental prophylaxis and teeth cleaning
- Remove hard and soft deposits and stains from teeth
- Apply topical fluoride treatments
- Expose and develop dental radiographs
- Provide oral hygiene instruction and patient counseling
- Offer nutrition and dietary education
- Review patient medical and dental histories
- Take and record blood pressure
- Chart dental conditions and disease findings
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments
- Utilize Epic Wisdom for charting and charge entry
- Assist in training dental hygiene students as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene
- Active South Carolina Registered Dental Hygienist License
- Strong communication and patient education skills
- Knowledge of dental radiography and preventive care practices
