Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse (RN)Seeking a dedicated and experienced Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for the night shift. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in providing specialized care for pediatric patients, particularly in a critical care setting.Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AMSchedule: 3 shifts per week (12-Hour shifts)Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients in a critical care environment.Monitor and assess patients' conditions, providing timely and effective interventions.Administer medications, including inotropic agents, and interpret EKGs.Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans.Provide education and support to patients and their families.QualificationsMinimum of 18 months of combined permanent experience in PICU or a related specialty.At least 18 months of recent pediatric nursing experience; travel experience is acceptable.Experience in epilepsy monitoring and specialized care for children and young adults up to 25 years is preferred.Current Ohio nursing license or compact state license required.Certifications:AHA or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS)Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)Knowledge of NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) is preferred.Additional RequirementsMust be willing to work at least every other holiday.Completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate assessment during orientation, with acceptable scores required.If you are passionate about providing specialized nursing care in a pediatric critical care setting and meet the above qualifications, we encourage you to apply for this opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our young patients.
