Shift & Schedule: Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts | 3×12 Hours/Week | Every Other Weekend | Holidays as Needed

Pay Range $60 - $65/hr

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive Med Surg/Telemetry care, monitor cardiac rhythms, and support patient-centered care.

Required Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license or valid multi-state compact RN license.

• ASN required; BSN preferred.

• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg/Telemetry experience in a major acute care hospital.

• Current BLS (AHA), ACLS, NIHSS, and Telemetry certifications required.

• CEU Contact Stroke – 4 Hours required.

• Strong experience with telemetry, cardiac monitoring, and EKG interpretation.

• Proficiency in patient assessment, medication administration, IV therapy, wound care, and post-procedural care.

• Strong patient education and discharge planning skills.

• Willingness to float to MS/Telemetry units, overflow areas, or ED holds as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing nursing assessments and identify patient needs.

• Develop and implement individualized plans of care.

• Provide therapeutic nursing interventions and manage assigned patients.

• Monitor telemetry and recognize changes in cardiac rhythm or clinical condition.

• Perform cardiac monitoring and EKG interpretation as required.

• Administer medications, IV therapy, and other treatments according to orders and protocols.

• Provide wound care and post-procedural nursing care.

• Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatment plans, disease management, and discharge instructions.

• Coordinate discharge planning and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.

• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.

• Maintain patient safety, infection-control practices, and compliance with hospital policies.

• Float to MS/Telemetry units, overflow areas, or ED holds based on facility needs.

• Provide patient-centered care in alignment with professional nursing standards.
