Position Overview Sea View Counseling Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients to understand their mental health status and identify appropriate interventions. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices that address the specific needs and goals of each client. Engage clients in regular therapy sessions, utilizing therapeutic techniques that may include cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness strategies, and motivational interviewing. Monitor and document client progress, adapting treatment plans as necessary, and providing actionable feedback to encourage personal growth. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and primary care physicians, to coordinate comprehensive care and make referrals as needed. Provide crisis intervention and support, demonstrating strong crisis management skills to ensure client safety and well-being. Participate in ongoing training sessions and team meetings to enhance your clinical skills and contribute to team objectives. Patient Population / Client Focus As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Sea View Counseling Center, you will work with a wide range of clients facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety disorders, depression, substance use disorders, and eating disorders. Your role will be crucial in fostering a safe space for clients to share their stories and navigate their mental health journeys. You will engage with clients from diverse backgrounds and keep cultural competence at the forefront of your practice. Qualifications A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. A current and valid license in California as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW. A minimum of four years of direct clinical experience working in mental health settings. A deep understanding of evidence-based treatment approaches and mental health disorders, along with a commitment to ethical practice and patient confidentiality. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build therapeutic rapport with diverse individuals. Preferred Experience Experience providing both individual and group therapy in various clinical settings. Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and client management. Familiarity with culturally responsive treatment modalities and inclusivity practices in therapy. Compensation and Benefits The compensation for this role ranges from $70,000 to $100,000 per year, reflecting your experience and expertise in the field.
