Seeking BE/BC Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join Avera Psychiatry, a well-established group of psychiatrists. Duties include comprehensive treatment of patients in the outpatient setting, the teaching and supervising of medical students, and child & adolescent psychiatry residents. Positions are open at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. Hospital is a state‑of‑the‑art 154‑bed psychiatric facility offering both inpatient and outpatient behavioral health care. Our current team consists of: adult psychiatrists including geriatric and forensic child & adolescent psychiatrists 6 psychologists 4 nurse practitioners and 1 physician assistant 2 social workers This facility opened in 2006, and recently expanded services for youth, behavioral health urgent care and specialized inpatient units. Patients of any age – children, adolescents, adults and senior citizens – receive care in specialized units, and this is the only multi‑specialty facility within 200 miles of Sioux Falls. In this safe, serene, therapeutic atmosphere, the spaces between visitor hallways, our main foyer and inpatient areas are detached to ensure patient care is priority and to limit distractions. Patient rooms are private, accessed from welcoming and comfortable common areas. Center is also home to research scientists, a genetics lab dedicated to psychiatry, advanced technological capabilities for genetic research, and a CyP450 machine for liver enzyme testing.
