Description Position: Diversion & Acute Stabilization (DAS) Psychiatric Counselor Pay Range: Up to $25/hour, based on education and related experience Schedule: Part Time, Saturday and Sunday 4p-12am Location: Homestead, PA Devereux/TCV Community Services is Hiring for a Part-Time Diversion & Acute Stabilization (DAS) Psychiatric Counselor! What to Expect: TCV is seeking a dedicated, compassionate and responsible person to join the treatment team serving adults with behavioral health challenges. Encourage individuals to meet their recovery goals, i.e., actively participate in treatment and therapeutic activities to enhance their lives. Monitor individuals’ physical and emotional well-being, use de-escalation and emergency techniques, when necessary, Develop and teach strategies to promote wellness and independence. Collaborate with the treatment team including but not limited to psychiatrist, therapist, nurses and service coordinators. This program includes tuition and student loan repayment! Qualifications Bachelor's degree in social/human services, or related field, required . Prior experience working in social services with adults with behavioral health disorders, highly preferred. 18 years of age or older required. Valid driver's license (Preferred) Agree to a PA state criminal history, child abuse record and FBI Clearance. Agree to a pre-employment drug screening, one-step TB and physical.
