In This Role You Will: Follow community's policies and procedures for handling, storing, processing, and transporting linen and residents' personal laundry. Complies with infection control requirements of the laundry and uses appropriate personal protective equipment and supplies, as necessary Establishes and adheres to laundry schedule to ensure adequate supply of clean laundry is available in all required areas. Assigns schedules/duties for laundry team members as appropriate. Sorts and loads laundry as designated. Washes linen, clothing and other items and records weights for each load. Irons linen and clothing Reads labels on personal laundry prior to washing Reports any damaged or lost clothing articles to the supervisor. Arranges for repairs and/or replacements, as necessary. Ensures residents' garments are properly labeled and labels items, as appropriate. Manages inventory of linen supply and reports shortages to the supervisor Shift Details: Part-time Day shift, 2 days per week. No weekends, some holidays are required. Hours: 12p-8p Who You Are: High school diploma or GED equivalent The ability to acquire additional sufficient knowledge and learn new skills through on-the- job training and instructions to satisfactorily meet job performance requirements.
