Waste Water Technician

Job Title: Wastewater Treatment OperatorThe primary focus of this position is to operate, maintain, and improve our wastewater discharge. This position operates and maintains our wastewater equipment to satisfy our Wisconsin Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (WPDES) Industrial User Permit requirements and serves as the designated operator in charge that holds a current and valid certification, per State of Wisconsin requirements. This Partner will work closely with the Environmental, Health & Safety Manager, Maintenance Team Advisor/Team Leader, and regulatory agencies to maintain and improve wastewater equipment and processes. The Partner will work closely with vendors to effectively maintain wastewater and to assure proper water chemistry.Essential functions:Understand and execute standard operating procedures relative to positionCollect wastewater samples for process monitoring and complianceOperate equipment, read gauges/meters, and record dataPerform basic lab tasksPerform all PCP and CCP checks required for positionFollow reaction plan for Food Safety, Food Quality, and customer requirement outages and by contacting leadershipRecord accurate data on required reportsMaintenance tasks will include troubleshooting, repair, performing preventive maintenance on all related systems in an industrial environmentIdentification and implementation of process improvements in the areas of wastewater and plant potable water are also responsibilities of this positionExperience required:4+ years of experience in wastewater treatment operations and a valid Class 3 or 4 certificationBasic wastewater chemistry knowledge and previous work with chemical testing and analysisDemonstrated ability to perform mechanical and electrical repairs to pumps, mechanical drives, valves, piping, sensors, and controlsExperience with Microsoft OfficeStarting Wage: $34.89 per hour$5,000 sign on bonus paid out within first year.Overtime is expected and weekend work is likely.
