\nThe Systems Administrator is responsible for the implementation, administration, and ongoing support of the organization's IT infrastructure. This role ensures reliable operation, performance, and availability of IT systems that support daily business operations. The position works closely with IT teams and vendors to maintain and improve infrastructure services.\n

Network & Systems Management \n
\n

\n
• Install, configure, maintain, and support servers, workstations, operating systems, network equipment, and peripheral devices
\n
• Manage server platforms, virtualization environments, email systems, print services, cloud and business applications
\n
• Monitor system, server and application performance and address issues proactively
\n

\n
Operations & Support \n
\n

\n
• Administer user accounts, permissions, and storage allocations
\n
• Execute regular backups, restorations, and disaster recovery testing
\n
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues; escalate issues as needed
\n

\n
Maintenance & Improvements \n
\n

\n
• Perform patching, upgrades, repairs, and reconfigurations of hardware and software
\n
• Maintain accurate asset inventories, system documentation, and technical configurations
\n
• Evaluate and recommend hardware, software, and infrastructure improvements
\n
• Coordinate with application, database, and network teams on deployments and enhancements
\n

Collaboration & Documentation \n
\n

\n
• Work with vendors, service providers, and internal teams to support IT services
\n
• Create technical documentation and operational reports
\n
• Collaborate with IT Security Manager
\n

\n
What you should be good at \n
\n
Education and Experience \n
\n

\n
• Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or related field or equivalent practical experience
\n
• Minimum of seven years' experience administering servers and enterprise IT systems.
\n

\n
Technical knowledge \n
\n

\n
• Strong knowledge of network, server, and desktop operating systems
\n
• Hands-on experience with enterprise network hardware and protocols
\n
• Experience with virtualization platforms and enterprise applications
\n
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues
\n
• Experience with backup and recovery operations
\n
• Experience maintaining system and process documentation
\n

\n
Preferred / Beneficial Technical Experience \n
\n

\n
• Active Directory, Altiris, Azure, BeyondTrust, Cisco Switches, CrowdStrike, Ivanti Service Manager, Meraki Access Points (APs), Mimecast, M365, Proxmox Virtual Environment, VMWare, Windows Server Administration
\n

Work Conditions \n

• Full-time onsite position; prolonged periods of sitting and computer use
\n
• Occasional lifting and movement of IT equipment; occasional inspection of cabling and infrastructure

• Competitive Compensation : This is a salaried exempt position with a pay range from $72,000 - $107,000 per year. Pay will be based on qualifications and experience.

• Location: The role is based at the Deublin Company facility in Waukegan, IL. The role will work onsite five days per week. Local candidates encouraged to apply; no relocation benefit for this position.

• Travel : Limited international travel may be required
