Recruiting Assistant Job Duties & Responsibilities Serve as the first point of contact for candidates, employees, and clients via phone, email, and in‑person inquiries. Provide high‑quality customer service support for payroll questions, assignments, attendance, and employment concerns. Source, screen, and identify qualified candidates using job boards, social media, referrals, and internal systems. Conduct initial phone interviews and schedule candidate interviews and hiring events. Maintain and update candidate and employee records in the applicant tracking system (ATS). Support recruiters with pipeline management and filling open positions quickly and efficiently. Assist with onboarding paperwork, employment verification, and new hire documentation. Process administrative tasks, including reports, spreadsheets, time‑card review, and filing. Recruiting Assistant Requirements & Experience High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred. Previous experience in customer service, administrative support, staffing, or recruiting is preferred. Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and able to learn new systems quickly. Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management abilities. Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving skills. Ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment. Professional, dependable, and team‑oriented with a positive attitude.
