If you are looking to join a great organization and a chance to become a part of our growing team, this may be the opportunity for you!Position Summary:The Distribution Supervisor is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the distribution center, ensuring efficient and accurate order fulfillment, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. This role oversees and collaboratively works with the team of order processors, other departments and leadership to coordinate activities to meet productivity, quality, and customer service goals.Tasks/Duties/Responsibilities:Promote safe work practices and demonstrates a zero tolerance for non-compliance with safe work practices, policies and regulationsEnsure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer expectationsOversee equipment maintenance and ensure a clean, safe work environmentServes as the primary point of contact for QAD ERP system functionality and utilization within the distribution teamEnsure accurate data entry accuracy and completeness and system updates for inventory, shipping, and receivingTrain and support team members on QAD system usage and best practicesTroubleshoot system issues and coordinate with IT or ERP support teams as neededMonitor system performance and ensure compliance with established workflowsSupervise employees engaged in shipping, receiving, loading/unloading, and order processingAssign tasks and monitor workflow to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of customer ordersMeets or exceeds distribution targets and goalsPerforms customary management and supervisory responsibilities, including setting, planning, direction, training, and evaluationMaintain orderly storage, picking, and staging of products to meet productivity and quality standardsSuccessfully operates on plan and, when necessary, takes appropriate action to get back on plan in a safe and effective mannerEffectively communicates with cross-shifts and represents Service Wire standards, plans, and policiesDrive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and increase efficiencyCoordinates activities of personnel with regard to processing orders and material productionProcesses orders according to urgency while considering stock availability, order quantity, and material typeAnalyze and communicate control of inventory levels and provide reports on slow-moving or surplus stockCollaborate with other departments (sales, customer care, purchasing, freight) to optimize processes and resolve issuesMaintain accurate records and documentation for all distribution activitiesOther duties as assignedKnowledge/Skills/Requirements:High School Diploma/GED or five years related industrial experience or equivalent training requiredDemonstrated effective management and supervisor skillsEffective communication skills, both oral and writtenExperience with QAD ERP or similar enterprise resource planning systems requiredAbility to apply technical knowledge or experience to define problems, generate alternatives, and execute solutionsStrong basic math and measuring skillsAbility to read, comprehend, and respond to general instructions, direction, and correspondence, both oral and writtenAbility to work cooperatively with members of various departmentsBasic familiarity with Microsoft office programs and related productsMaintain accurate records and documentation for all distribution activitiesKnowledge of continuous improvement/lean principles preferredBilingual (Spanish/English) a plusPosition Requirements:Personal protective equipment is requiredContinuous participation in company safety trainingCompany forklift operation and certificationPhysical Demands/Work Environment:Work environment is comparable to outdoor temperaturesRegularly stands, bends, and reaches for extended periodsRegularly moves about the facilityRegularly lifts and moves materials up to 50 poundsRegularly uses hand and finger dexterity to adjust and manipulate controls, tools, and objectsOccasionally required to move up to 100 pounds by pushing, pulling, or sliding material.
