Head of Security Engineering

I'm working with a high-growth FinTech company that's looking for an experienced security engineering leader who's still hands-on and enjoys solving technical problems. You'll lead Security Engineering across product, cloud infrastructure and internal systems. This isn't a governance or compliance role. They're looking for someone who can partner with engineering teams, influence architecture, and build security into how software gets developed. AI is a big part of the roadmap, so experience securing AI tooling, LLMs or agentic workflows would be a huge plus. You’ll likely have experience with: Leading Security Engineering or Product Security teams Cloud security (AWS, GCP or Azure) Security architecture and threat modelling Secure SDLC and modern application security IAM, authentication and infrastructure security Building security into fast-moving engineering organisations Experience within FinTech, payments, digital assets or crypto would be beneficial, but it's by no means essential.
