Warehouse Associate (Overhead Crane Experience)

Position: Warehouse Associate
Shift: 1st Shift (Monday–Friday)
Pay: $18-19/hour (Based on Experience)

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Warehouse Associate with overhead crane experience to join our team. This position is responsible for receiving, storing, moving, and shipping materials while safely operating overhead cranes and other material handling equipment. The ideal candidate has experience working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, is detail-oriented, and is committed to maintaining a safe and organized workplace.

Responsibilities

• Operate overhead cranes to safely move steel, metal products, raw materials, and finished goods throughout the facility.
• Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments using overhead cranes, forklifts, and pallet jacks.
• Pick, pack, stage, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
• Verify incoming materials against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Perform inventory transactions and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Conduct routine inspections of overhead cranes and material handling equipment before operation.
• Follow all OSHA and company safety policies while handling materials.
• Assist with shipping, receiving, stocking, and organizing warehouse inventory.
• Read work orders, production schedules, and shipping documents to ensure order accuracy.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience required.
• Experience operating an overhead crane is required.
• Forklift certification or previous forklift experience preferred.
• Experience with shipping and receiving, inventory control, and material handling.
• Ability to read work orders, shipping documents, and inventory records.
• Basic computer skills and experience with warehouse management or ERP systems is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing or industrial warehouse environment.
• Ability to safely operate overhead cranes and other powered industrial equipment.
