The HVAC/R Apprentice will gain hands-on experience in commercial HVAC/R installations under direct daily supervision. Working primarily on new installation projects at a single site, this role focuses on developing foundational skills with equipment installation, ducting, and refrigeration systems. The apprentice will regularly use manual and power tools, adhere to strict safety protocols, and has a clear advancement pathway to become an HVAC/R Technician.
Responsibilities
- Assist with commercial equipment installation on new projects
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and protocols
- Handle, operate, and maintain manual and power tools effectively
- Install and maintain ducting systems
- Support refrigeration system installation tasks
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams
- Manage time efficiently to meet project deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of HVAC/R experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic knowledge of HVAC/R fundamentals
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools
- Ability to read blueprints accurately
- Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures
- Strong time management and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
