What This Job Actually Is
You'd be stepping into a manufacturing company with a long track record of building rugged, reliable equipment used across North America. The Service Engineer role sits at the center of that reputation - owning how customers experience support after the sale, how the installer and service network grows, and how smoothly the whole operation runs day to day.


This isn't a caretaker role. The company wants someone who gets energized by messy problems, builds structure where none exists yet, and knows how to develop a team rather than just supervise one. You'll need to be comfortable moving between big-picture strategy and hands-on troubleshooting - sometimes in the same afternoon.


What You'd Actually Be Doing

• Running point on a department that's the face of the company for many customers
• Building out real processes and metrics where things are currently more ad hoc
• Growing and strengthening the network of installers and service partners
• Working shoulder-to-shoulder with sales, engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams
• Pushing customer satisfaction and response times in the right direction
• Leaving a mark on the business that leadership will actually notice

What Makes You a Fit

• 7+ years in service operations, technical service, project management, customer support management, or something adjacent
• 5+ years actually leading people, not just managing tickets
• A track record of making processes and teams work better than they did before
• Comfort owning customer problems until they're actually resolved
• Hands-on time with ERP, CRM, or service ticketing platforms
• A working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, or industrial equipment
• Bonus points for PLC-driven systems experience
• Bonus points for experience with distributor, installer, dealer, or service partner networks
