Facilities Maintenance Technician

Position Summary Maintenance Technician – Monday to Friday, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm, 100% on site. Responsibilities The Technician will operate, maintain, and troubleshoot facility and utility systems. Key duties include: Conduct preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on equipment such as chillers, boilers, HVAC, electrical, control systems, and fire protection systems. Coordinate work orders, direct outside vendors and contractors, and supervise contractor activities. Monitor and operate building management and environmental systems. Perform minor carpentry, painting, patching, and wall repairs; install and repair ceiling tiles and grid systems. Qualifications Educational and experience requirements: Associate’s degree in engineering or a related technical field with 5+ years of experience in boiler operations, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, process controls, or plumbing. High school diploma with 15+ years of experience in one of the same areas. Refrigerant licenses (Universal/CFC) preferred. Operating Engineers License preferred. Boiler license required within one year of hire. Ability to interpret electrical wiring diagrams, electronic schematics, engineering drawings, and BMS with alarm screens. Understanding of pumps, compressors, boilers, steam systems, DHW skids, chillers, cooling towers, clean steam generators, purified water systems, CIP systems, and low voltage electrical systems.
