Minimum Qualifications: Certification as a Phlebotomy Technician from an accredited program. Knowledge of standard infection control practices and safety procedures. Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA). Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience working in a hospital or clinical laboratory setting. Additional certifications related to patient care or laboratory procedures. Bilingual language skills to support diverse patient populations. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Responsibilities: Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection on patients of all ages following established protocols and safety guidelines. Document procedures and maintain accurate records of blood draws and patient interactions in the hospital information system. Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate specimen collection schedules and address any patient concerns or complications.
