Remote Director of Government Auditing

We are seeking an experienced Director of Government Auditing to join our dynamic accounting team in Oakland, MD. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned public accountant with a passion for government audits and financial assurance to lead audit engagements and build strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead preparation, review, and execution of government audits.
• Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients.
• Guide staff by implementing firm policies, principles, and best practices.
• Utilize CCH Pro System Engagement software (preferred).
• Maintain Continuing Professional Education (CPE) requirements during off-season months, including 80 hours of A&A CPE over 2 years, with at least 24 hours of government-specific training (firm covers training costs).

Qualifications Must Have:

• 6-8 years of professional experience as a Public Accountant .
• Active CPA license .
• Proven Audit & Assurance (A&A) experience .
• Experience auditing financial statements and single audits .

Qualifications Nice to Have:

• Experience with CCH Pro System Engagement .
