Job Description
A school district in Bayfield, Wisconsin is seeking a qualified Special Education Case Manager for a full‑time, school‑based contract . This position serves K–12 students and focuses on overseeing special education services, ensuring IEP compliance, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and supporting students with diverse learning needs. Candidates with strong organizational skills, knowledge of special education regulations, and a commitment to student success are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary Special Education Case Manager for assigned students
- Coordinate, develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with IDEA and Wisconsin state regulations
- Schedule and facilitate IEP meetings, annual reviews, and reevaluations
- Monitor student progress toward IEP goals and ensure appropriate service delivery
- Maintain accurate and compliant special education documentation and records
- Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families
- Ensure timelines and procedural safeguards are met for all assigned students
- Provide direct instructional support and case management services as assigned
- Support a structured, inclusive, and positive learning environment
Qualifications
- Active Wisconsin Special Education teaching license required
- Special Education Case Management experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and special education compliance requirements
- Ability to pass background checks, fingerprinting, and district clearances
- Licensing and credentialing support may be available for eligible candidates
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
Experience
- Previous school‑based special education experience required
- Experience managing IEPs, compliance timelines, and multidisciplinary collaboration preferred
- Experience serving as a case manager strongly preferred
Skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities
- Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and compliance procedures
- Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- Strong documentation and record‑keeping skills
- Commitment to supporting diverse student populations
Work Hours
- Monday–Friday
- 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Approximately 37–40 hours per week
