Float Personal Banker I- Hall Road (Clinton Township, MI)

Provide excellent customer care to customers regarding daily transactions, address inquiries, and resolve problems in accordance with Fifth Third Bank policies. Refer customers to the appropriate business partner for products and services discovered during business interactions. This role will be expected to travel to various Financial Centers within the market.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Promote an excellent customer experience by consistently adhering to and applying key customer experience behaviors with a friendly demeanor, can‑do attitude, and willingness to help. Build a developed rapport with the customer base and maintain knowledge of account ownership. Act with confidence by answering or locating answers to customer questions and providing solutions. Respond promptly and efficiently to correspondence and problem resolution. Maintain confidentiality of all customer business. Follow the Bancorp Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other related policies, maintaining ethical behavior at all times. Perform daily office responsibilities in partnership with the platform team to support efficient office operations. Maintain accurate balancing records in line with policy and correct outages promptly. Keep up-to-date with bank policies and financial center procedures. Handle consumer and business customer problems with professionalism, escalating complex issues to the Lead Customer Service Representative or appropriate leadership. Demonstrate sound judgment in decision making, adhering to established guidelines and procedures. Consistently meet or exceed sales referrals as set by management. Participate actively in daily huddles, sales meetings, and staff meetings. Maintain a well-developed working knowledge of the full line of retail products and services offered, updating knowledge as needed. Initiate conversations to uncover customer needs and refer customers to business partners for selling and cross‑selling bank products and services. Utilize appropriate tools for all referrals to track progress and ensure proper disposition. Review tools and dashboards daily to monitor referral progression and fulfillment. Continuously increase knowledge and skills through self‑motivation, formal education, seminars, and in‑house training.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

High school diploma or GED. Ability to handle extensive cash and perform advanced math functions. Professional presentation and ability to interact confidently with the public. Strong verbal and written communication skills. In-depth knowledge of retail policies and procedures, typically achieved with a minimum of 2 years of CSR experience. Ability to take initiative, exercise sound judgment, and use diplomacy and tact in problem resolution. Team orientation and positive interaction with co‑workers and management. Flexible scheduling. Required SAFE Act registration at the time of employment through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS).
