We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer to join a growing enterprise technology team supporting mission-critical SAP applications. This individual will play a key role in designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting custom SAP solutions while partnering closely with functional stakeholders across multiple business areas.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with the ability to translate business needs into scalable SAP solutions and enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and convert them into technical designs and development solutions.
• Design, develop, test, document, and deploy SAP ABAP programs and enhancements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues involving SAP custom development and system integrations.
• Develop new custom reports, programs, interfaces, and enhancements while maintaining existing solutions.
• Build and support SAP integration components including:
  • IDOCs
  • BAPIs
  • REST and SOAP APIs
  • RFCs
  • EDI integrations
• Develop and maintain:
  • Custom ABAP reports
  • Module Pool applications
  • User Exits
  • Business Add-Ins (BAdIs)
  • Enhancements
  • LSMW and BDC programs
  • SAPscript, Smart Forms, and Adobe Forms
  • SAP Business Workflows
• Collaborate with functional analysts and business users to ensure technical solutions support operational objectives.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, development standards, specifications, and testing documentation.
• Provide effort estimates for project work, enhancements, and production support.
• Participate in the design, implementation, and ongoing support of SAP customizations and enhancements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and development best practices.

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
• 5+ years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience.
• Strong experience supporting core SAP ERP modules, including:
  • Materials Management (MM)
  • Sales & Distribution (SD)
  • Warehouse Management (WM)
  • Financial Accounting (FI)
• Experience developing SAP Forms, including Smart Forms, SAPscript, and Adobe Forms.
• Experience with User Exits, BAdIs, enhancements, workflows, and other SAP extensibility frameworks.
• Strong understanding of SAP integration technologies, including IDOCs, RFCs, BAPIs, REST APIs, SOAP services, and EDI.
• Experience integrating SAP with external enterprise applications and third-party platforms.
• Solid understanding of SAP database structures and ABAP development standards.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage priorities independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred:

• Experience supporting enterprise manufacturing, distribution, or supply chain environments.
• Exposure to enterprise application integrations involving CRM, warehouse, labeling, or document management platforms.
• Experience participating in full software development lifecycle projects, including implementation, enhancements, and ongoing support.
• Familiarity with modern SAP development practices and integration architecture.
