Palliative Care Physician

Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Inpatient Palliative Care Physician, you will join Saint Joseph Medical Group, part of CommonSpirit Health, as a member of our collaborative Palliative Care team in Lexington, Kentucky. You will practice within a supportive medical staff and multidisciplinary care environment while making a meaningful impact on patients and families facing serious and complex illnesses throughout Lexington and the surrounding Central Kentucky region. Every day you will provide inpatient Palliative Care consultation and management, partnering closely with patients, families, hospitalists, specialists, nursing, and other members of the care team to address symptom management, goals of care, complex medical decision‑making, and advance care planning. To be successful in this role, you will be a board‑certified or board‑eligible physician with training or experience in Hospice and Palliative Medicine who is committed to compassionate, patient‑centered care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and service to the community. You will be comfortable caring for medically complex hospitalized patients and supporting patients and families through serious illness and difficult healthcare decisions.
