Quality Lab Technician

Title : Quality Lab Technician
Location: Greenville, OH 45331
Duration: 0-4+ months
Shift: (M - F) 8hr day shift but will become a 12hr rotating shift once their training is complete)
Pay Rate: $25.00/Hour

Job Duties

• Perform laboratory testing and analytical techniques using established procedures.
• Conduct HPLC testing and wet chemistry methods.
• Perform microbiological analysis as needed.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Handle, store, and dispose of chemicals safely according to established procedures.
• Apply proper chemical handling and laboratory safety practices.
• Perform mathematical calculations related to laboratory testing and analysis.
• Accurately document and maintain laboratory data and records using Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Follow all required safety, medical, and regulatory procedures.
• Work a rotating schedule that may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Initially work Monday-Friday, 8-hour day shifts during training; transition to a 12-hour rotating shift after training.
• Complete required medical clearances, examinations, and drug screening before starting.
• Comply with respirator and hearing conservation requirements.

Qualifications
Required

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Strong mathematical skills.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong knowledge of analytical techniques.
• Knowledge of proper chemical handling, storage, and disposal.
• Ability and willingness to work 100% onsite.
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to successfully complete required medical examinations and drug screening.
• Medical clearances required for:
  • Diisocyanates
  • Hearing Conservation Examination
  • Pre-placement Medical History and Physical Examination
  • Respirator (Non-SCBA)

Preferred

• Associate's (AS) or Bachelor's (BS) degree, preferably in a science-related field.
• Proficiency in laboratory techniques, including:
  • HPLC
  • Wet chemistry methods
  • Microbiological analysis
• Experience working with laboratory equipment.
• Previous laboratory or chemical-industry experience.
