Structural Welder - Claremore, OK

HireCall is seeking experienced Structural Welders in the Claremore area for one of our valued clients. This is a great opportunity for skilled welders with structural welding experience who are looking for steady work and competitive pay.

Pay: $23.00 per hour
Night Shift: Additional shift differential

Schedule:

Day Shift: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-4:30 PM
Overtime available on Saturdays

Night Shift: Monday-Friday, 5:00 PM-3:30 AM
Overtime available on Saturdays

Job Overview

As a Structural Welder, you will weld and fabricate components for air-cooling systems using carbon steel. The ideal candidate will have experience with MIG and Flux welding processes and be comfortable welding in multiple positions.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural welding using MIG and Flux processes
• Weld carbon steel in all positions
• Complete welds to acceptable visual quality standards
• Adjust volts and amps appropriately based on welding conditions
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and diagrams
• Determine the appropriate welding process based on job requirements
• Use basic math skills for measurements and calculations
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, safe work area
• Maintain regular attendance, which is an essential function of the position
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Weld Test

Candidates will complete a visual weld test on carbon steel using Pulse MIG, including:

• Horizontal
• Downhill
• Overhead

Qualifications

• Previous structural welding experience required
• Experience with MIG and Flux welding
• Ability to weld carbon steel in multiple positions
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
• Basic math and measurement skills
• Understanding of welding volts and amps and the ability to make adjustments
• Welding certification or formal welding training preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Strong safety awareness
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and perform physically demanding work

Working Conditions

• Manufacturing environment
• Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Position requires standing, bending, lifting, and working in various welding positions
• Safety and quality are top priorities
