Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our kitchen team in our Fort Wayne, IN Miss J's Diner. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting our food service operations, whether in a hotel, catering environment, or banquet setting. Responsibilities

Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by sweeping and mopping floors regularly.
Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, ensuring all ingredients are ready for cooks.
Help organize and store clean dishes and utensils in their designated areas.
Support kitchen staff during busy periods by providing assistance with various tasks as required.
Follow health and safety regulations regarding food handling and sanitation practices.
Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the kitchen supervisor promptly.

Requirements

Previous experience in a food service or kitchen environment is preferred but not required.
Familiarity with food handling practices and sanitation standards is a plus.

Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
A willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks as needed within the kitchen setting.
