Sr. Post-Silicon Validation Engineer

Salary: $168,100 - 261,500 per year Requirements:

• We require 5+ years of programming experience in at least one software language.
• We require a bachelors degree or higher in computer science, computer engineering, or a related discipline, or an equivalent bachelors degree.
• We require 5+ years of non-internship experience in system test development, code review, source control management, build processes, automated deployments, and operations.
• We require experience working in Linux environments and with Git.
• We require experience with server hardware and debugging tools.
• We prefer candidates with experience in machine learning hardware/software architecture.
• We prefer candidates with experience in CI/CD.
• We prefer candidates with experience in EDA simulation or emulation.
• We are looking for strong programming ability in languages such as Python, Lua, C/C++, Rust, or Go.
• We are looking for a solid understanding of computer architecture and chip/system validation methods.
• We are looking for firmware testing and/or development experience, including BIOS, BMC, or drivers.
• We are looking for domain knowledge in areas such as PCIe, HBM, GPUs, neural networks, or ML hardware architecture.
• We are looking for knowledge of the full validation lifecycle, from RTL simulation and emulation through silicon failure analysis and debug.

• We lead and own key validation activities across the full product development lifecycle, from early design validation through emulation, silicon bring-up, post-silicon validation, and production support in AWS data centers.
• We collaborate closely with architecture, RTL design, design verification, firmware, and software teams to ensure our next-generation AI/ML accelerators meet high standards for quality and performance.
• We develop comprehensive validation strategies and create new methods to improve coverage and reduce time to root cause.
• We define detailed test plans covering functional, performance, power, and stress testing from silicon bring-up through product release.
• We mentor and guide junior validation engineers.
• We execute complex test plans in RTL simulation, emulation, and physical silicon validation environments.
• We perform hands-on silicon bring-up and debugging in the lab using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers.
• We validate ML accelerator performance, accuracy, and reliability using real-world neural network workloads.
• We build test infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and automated regression frameworks to support validation at scale.
• We partner across architecture, design, firmware, and software teams to triage failures and drive root-cause analysis to closure.
• We review test results, identify trends, and provide feedback to improve design quality and validation coverage.
• We deliver new tests to production systems in AWS data centers and manufacturing to improve fleet health.
