The focus will be on treatment and rehabilitation for a diverse patient population. Common diagnoses include stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injuries, amputations, and orthopedic injuries. The role requires a commitment to maximizing health, function, and quality of life of patients. Team collaboration is essential to ensure effective rehabilitation outcomes. An understanding of comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation techniques is important for success in this role. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work effectively within a team environment. Flexibility and adaptability are important attributes for dealing with varying patient needs. Participation in professional development and ongoing education is encouraged. Ideal candidates should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patients will typically be managed in a nurse-to-patient ratio of 6:1 or 7:1.
