\n\n Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace and complete all required repairs on diesel equipment (i.e., tractors, trailers, bobtails, lift gates, etc.).\n Perform preventative maintenance within DOT standards.\n Receive road calls, assign third party vendor, and work with business partners on plan of action.\n Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules/regulations and government guidelines.\n Utilize fleet maintenance software system tablet to fully document equipment repair and parts used.\n Backup to other maintenance shop personnel.\n Willingness and capacity to assume increased responsibility and certificates.\n Other duties as assigned by manager.\n\n\nSUPERVISION:\n\n N/A\n\n\nRELATIONSHIPS\n\n Internal: All Fleet Technicians, Drivers, Coordinators and Manager\n External: Vendor service providers when required\n\n\nWORK ENVIRONMENT\n\n Onsite: The associate in this role is expected to perform assigned responsibilities inside a US Foods maintenance facility.\n Must be willing to work in extreme temperatures and weather conditions.\n\n\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS \n\n Must have 3 years of verifiable hands-on experience as a heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanic.\n Diagnostic and troubleshooting competency relating to equipment repairs.\n Successfully demonstrated independent analytical and problem-solving skills.\n Prior experience in administering appropriate PM program.\n Must furnish own personal hand tools.\n Able to read and write legibly (e.g., to attend trainings, hold conversations, receive safety and job-related coaching, and enter information on reports if needed); basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, divide).\n\n\nEDUCATION\n\n High school diploma or equivalent required.\n\n\nCERTIFICATIONS/TRAINING\n\n N/A\n\n\nLICENSES\n\n Must possess a valid driver's license.\n\n\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\n\n Valid Class-A CDL license and DOT certification\n Experience using fleet maintenance software\n Welding ability\n\n\nPHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS\n\nOCCASIONALLY: 1% - 33 / FREQUENTLY: 34% - 66% / CONTINUOUSLY: 67% - 100% or NEVER\n\nJOB REQUIRES WORKER TO:\nFREQUENCY:\nSTAND: CONTINUOUSLY\nWALK: CONTINUOUSLY\nDRIVE VEHICLE: FREQUENTLY\nSIT: FREQUENTLY\n\nLIFT\n1-10 lbs (Sedentary): FREQUENTLY\n11-20 lbs (Light): FREQUENTLY\n21-50 lbs (Medium): FREQUENTLY\n51-100 lbs (Heavy): FREQUENTLY\nOver 100 lbs (Very Heavy): OCCASIONALLY\n\nCARRY\n1-10 lbs (Sedentary): FREQUENTLY\n11-20 lbs (Light): FREQUENTLY\n21-50 lbs (Medium): FREQUENTLY\n51-100 lbs (Heavy): OCCASIONALLY\nOver 100 lbs (Very Heavy): OCCASIONALLY\n\nPUSH/PULL 1: FREQUENTLY\nCLIMB/BALANCE 2: FREQUENTLY\nSTOOP/SQUAT: FREQUENTLY\nKNEEL: FREQUENTLY\nBEND: FREQUENTLY\nREACH ABOVE SHOULDER: FREQUENTLY\nTWIST: FREQUENTLY\nGRASP OBJECTS 3: FREQUENTLY\nMANIPULATE OBJECTS 4: FREQUENTLY\nMANUAL DEXTERITY 5: FREQUENTLY\n\n1 (Push/Pull: Hand truck, gate, straps, metal ramp, truck door, dolly, boxes, truck gear shift)\n2 (Climb/Balance: In/Out Truck/Trailer to cab.
